Going to School in Belfast? Reminder: Don’t forget the CPD profile!

logoThe IHBC continues to develop new support for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) at our Annual Schools – they are ‘Schools’ after all – and for 2018 members can now assess projected skills and themes using a pilot CPD matrix suite, which can also promote School attendance and benefits to employers and sponsors.

IHBC Director Seán O’Reilly said: ‘Enhancing support for members’ CPD at our School means we also want to guide delegates – and their employers and sponsors – on CPD benefits.’

‘This year we are piloting a matrix of projected CPD benefits – aligned with key School themes as well as the IHBC’s Areas of Competence – our conservation skills assessment framework.’

‘It should help convince employers and sponsors of the benefits of School attendance to them, while helping plan CPD benefits against personal CPD plans.’

IHBC Branch Chair and Day School joint Chair Andrew McClelland said: ‘The Annual School speaker programme and tours within Belfast and beyond provide an ideal opportunity for delegates to progress their CPD requirements and develop their professional built and historic environment competences with like-minded colleagues in a stimulating learning environment.’
